I have data in Colum D and Data in Column E
and want D - E to give a result in F
I have 303 ROWS doI have to retype this formula 303
times???

With "=D1-E1" in F1:

Select F1. You will notice a thick border around the cell. In the lower
right-hand corner of the border, there is a black square. Left click on it
and drag it down as far as you need.

For example:
for D1, E1 and F1 type your formula into F1:
F1=D1-E1

Click F1 and then:

EDIT | COPY

Click and hold on F1 and drag down the number of cells in
column F that you want the formula repeated.

EDIT | PASTE

Just another option. Type in your formula in F1 (=D1-E1)
With F1 still selected, type the range in the "Name Box"
For example, type F1:F303 in the "Name Box."
Then, hit Ctrl + D for "Copy Down." This copies the active cell down within
the selection.
HTH.
