Subtotal in Reports

I would like to know if anyone can tell me how to generate subtotals in a
report and a final grand total.

I am trying to subtotal by year and at the end of the report have a grand
total for the year.

Your report needs to be grouped by the year. On the toolbar click sorting and
grouping and select the field that is your year. Select Year Header and Year
footer.
In your year footer on the report put a text box with the control source
=Sum([FieldtoBeTotalled])
To get a grand total put a text box in the report footer with the same
control source as above.
