Hello,
I tried to install a local printer (USB port) to a W2k workstation.
Each time I press the "Add Printer" button, I get the following:

"Current printer Subsystem not available"

Can ANYONE tell what causes this, & where can I find the solution...

Thank you,

Charles L. Phillips

That usually means that the Print Spooler service has stopped.

You can start it using Computer Management, Services or using this command
at a Command Prompt:

net start spooler

If the Print Spooler service is failing, this usually means a problem with
one or more printer drivers. See if the information at
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm helps.
