A
Absolutely
I have an application that requires the use of drive substitution on the
server so that the server can see files the same way the workstations see
the files through a mapped drive. The app doesn't work well on the server
if you simply map the drives on the server to its own shares, so I've always
used drive substitution.
I create shortcuts in the startup folder so the substituted drives are
automatically recreated when the machine boots. This worked well in NT and
2000, but in 2003 the drives show up as mapped drives instead of
substitutions, which throws everything off.
Is there a way to correct this behavior?
