Is there any way to control what label w2k assigns to a virtual drive
created using SUBST.EXE?

Doesn't seem to be any logic to the name w2k gives it... and can't change
the name using LABEL or through "Properties" dialog box.

The volume label for substituted drives is the same as the
volume label for the host drive. If the volume label for your
drive C: is "Windows", and if you run this command:

subst z: c:\WinNT

then the volume label for drive Z: is also "Windows".
