I get the subscript error message when I am trying to import a text file.
How do I fix this?

Hi,

What version of Access? Have you tried importing parts of the file
until you can narrow down the offending line(s)? Is there something odd
about the offending line(s)? Are you importing into a new table? Or an
existing table? If none of these questions prompt you into how to figure out
the problem, post an example of an offending line and information about the
table you are importing it into.

Hi,

Also, is this import happening through code, a macro, or manually? If
through code or a macro, post the code/macro.

I don't think anyone knows what you mean by that, and thats why they do not
respond. Can you explain how to do this?

Thanks,
Natalie

Hi Natalie,

It is pretty common for people never to post back. Maybe the person
solved the problem before someone replied? Maybe.... Maybe.... Who can
tell how what of the many possible reasons apply. If someone does not reply
back, I don't worry about it. I do think it rather rude not to at least post
back to tell the person who tried to help that the help was not needed or
that the the reply was not understood. That of course is a reflection on the
original poster, not the helper.

Anyway, is you question how to get to the macro or code so you can post
it? Or how to solve a subscript error?
