I have created two reports in my database that retrieve data based on a date range and complaint codes (1-6) on a form that opens when the main report is opened. The main report is "Critical Issues Details" and the second report is "Critical Issues Summary" that shows total complaints per complaint code, ie.: Billing = 6. My problem is I can't see all the data on the "Critical Issues Summary" when I make it a sub report, and am not sure which band to place the sub report into on the main report? I think this may be why I can't see all the data. I chose the date to be the childlinkfield. Would this be correct? Thanks so much in advance for your assistance.

Hi,

Can't you create one query to run the report from and then use the access
wizard to make a report. When you make the report you can set a grouping
level. It will then show the critical issue detail on the left and the
critical issues summary on the right of that?

Sorry if i don't get what you mean.

Thanks

Not sure I know what you are saying. I want the sub report to be the summary of the entire detail report:

Billing 5
Benefits 4
Claim Quality 3

And I want the sub report to be at the end of the details report. I think I am making this harder than I need to but can't seem to put it together!?!?!? Thanks for your help.

You don't need to set a link master child unless you actually want to filter
the subreport based on a value in the main report. If you want only one
occurance of the subreport, place it in the report footer section.

When I view the report the subreport only shows summary information for the last grouping on the main report. It isn't catching all the summary information. Thanks.

It sounds like you need to remove the Link Master/Child property values.
