I have a sub report that consists of multiple columns (2
or 3), the data within the parent query is group at only
one level. If I view the output of teh subreport on its
own (not imbedded) it is as it should be, nice neat
columns of data with each column grouped by the correct
field. AND ONLY ONE PAGE.

When I imbed the report into a parent report, it always
forces the second column onto a new page.

I re look at the subn report as a standalone report and
it is fine??????...
can some one advise

Vertically or horizontally? (Access will create a second page if the
material runs over either direction.)

I think horizontally.

The columns (two of) when displayed as a stand alone
report are two columns). when as subreport, two pages.

Also, I am getting a forced new page after the grouped
section which i am not requesting

What are your margins/page size?
