I have a report that contains a subreport. Everything
works great except when I veiw the report I see the
headers for the main report above my subreport. Is there
a way to keep it from showing the headers if there is no
more data to display in the main?

I hope I'm being clear. Let me know if I need to explain
more in detail or change my wording.

From where I sit, it's not at all clear.

Which headers?

What section contains the subreport?

What else is in that section including controls and vertical
white space areas (i.e. any horizontal "bands" that don't
have any controls in them)?

Are there any sections that don't have any controls but a
Height greater than zero?

Which sections, if any, have their ForceNewPage property
set?

Marsh, it's the 'page header' from the main report showing
up on a blank page where the subreport is showing. Does
that make sense? In other words, when there is no more
data to display on the main form the subreport data is
suppose to display, right? But what is happening is the
page header from the main report is showing up above the
subreport no matter what.

Thanks,

Dean

Maybe I still don't understand, but what you're describling
sounds normal.

You said the subreport is on the page, but the page is
blank.

You didn'r explain what section the subreport is in. If
it's in the main report's report footer section, then the
main report page header should still appear. If you mean
that the page after the end of the subreport is blank, then
double check for the last three situations in my previous
post.

It's in the footer so I guess there isn't anything I can
do.

I did not say there was nothing you can do. I only said it
was normal behavior.

Please try to be more explicit, there can be many different
footer sections in a report, the Report Footer, the Page
Footer and up to 10 Group Footers. I think you probably
mean the Report Footer, if so, I'll need some very specific
details about where the Report Footer starts and I
definitely need to know what group footers you may, or may
not have. If you do have group footers, where, exactly, do
you want the Page Header to stop appearing.

We need to figure out if the Page header has already been
processed by the time the Report Footer is processed. Are
there any group footers? If there are, does the one for the
top level have its ForceNewPage property set to After
Section? If there are no group footers, does the Detail
section have it's ForceNewPage property set? Is there a
ForceNewPage property set on the Report Footer section?
