I'm absolutely stumped.

For some reason, none of the buttons on websites work anymore. I can click
links OK, but "submit" buttons don't show any effect.

I've tried "sfc /scannow", and I've got the most recent version of Internet
Explorer (6.0.2900.2180).

Has anyone else ever had this problem? Any ides on a possible fix?
Everything works fine with Firefox.

Also, in IE, go to Tools...Internet Options...Content tab, Autocomplete, and
clear your Autocomplete history.
