Subforms

I built a subform based on a query. When the main form opens the subform is
on it and has no information. When the customer ID is inserted it updates the
query, but not the subform because the subform is open on the form. How do I
get the subform to update.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
Check Link Master Field & Link Child Field properties of the subform control
and make sure that the subform is actually linked to the main form.
