Subforms in Access XP

In Access 97, if you have a subform or subreport, in
design view, you see a white box where the subform/report
is. In XP, you see the detail of the subform/report.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get XP to display
subforms in design view as they were displayed in 97?

You mean, *not* display its details, so that you see only a white box?
The only way I know to do this is to open the subform in design view
first, before opening its parent form. The designers of Access 2000
(which is where this behavior was changed) thought they were doing users
a favor by allowing in-situ editing of the subform design. You may want
to have a look at Michael Kaplan's "TSI Subforminator!" to see if it
adds functionality you are missing:
