I've added a subform (continuous form) to a single form.
The problem is that I cannot edit the data in any of the
fields in the subform. Is this a constraint of Access
(2000)?

Anyone have any info on how I can edit the fields in the
subform when I open the single form?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Garhy,

No.

But in some cases the data are not editable:
1. If you set the property Editable of one of your forms
to false (Master or Detail). Set it to true

2. If you have a query, based on spezial functions (SUM(),
ARG() ...) the recordset was't editable. (No chance to
solve this)

3. If the query include data from a lot of tables. One way
to help getting an editable recordset is to include the
primary key of all tables to the query. It seems that this
was a help for Access to find the records with have to be
updated.

Good luck.

.

Try using the form wizard to build the form with subform. If you need the
form
in a different format compare the settings on the auto create with your
other form
to see what needs changed.
