subfolders

when I open "my documents" and try to open the other folders within ie" my
pictures" the "search" box appears on the desk top.however if I right click
on the folder I wish to open the first item in the drop down box is "search"
followed by "open" then "explore" is there anyway of changing these around
can anyone help
