I am working a list of donations in a fundraising
project. Have several years of data, w/some donors making
multiple contributions. I am trying to get a consolidated
list. "Subtotal" works fine but in the subtotals I loose
the other relevant items in the record, "address" etc.
Any Help?
 
While viewing your Subtotal screen (produced via Data, Sub-total, etc) at
the detail most level( Lvl3) Select the Clolumn Header row (Click on the
Letter, say C) of your Address Column, then at the Menu, click on Edit,
GoTo..., then click on the Special Button, Select the Blank option, then OK
out of the Dialog box - the active cell will be blank -- enter = then
arrow up just one cell and press the Control + the Enter Key Simultaneously.
The Value of the address cell in the last row of the individual donor will
display. Move to the Lvl2 by clicking the (2) button. Continue with Other
column data (in like manner) as needed.

With the Level 2 engaged which is your sub-totals only (with the additional
addressing data now available to you) - there is an additional feature that
you can now use...
Highlight the full area Including the header rows (at the level 2) and then
go to the menu, Edit, Goto, Special Button, Click on "Visible Cells Only",
then OK.
While still selected click on Copy, then Go to a new blank worksheet - Click
in say A1, and do and Edit, Paste-Special-Values. The subtotal info only
should now appear in your new worksheet - Use it as your data source for
your Mail merge,,,,
