sub report from other database

I need to link a report from separate database as a subreport. I cannot find
the proper syntax. I thought it would be something like
"databasename!reportname" they are both located in the same mapped area. I
am using 2003.

Help
 
will be interested if someone can advise on how to implement this as you seek

to me; one needs to import report/query source objects ...and one then links
to the table only....

but I am open to education....

To use it as a subreport you will need to import a copy of the report in the
other database. If the imported report uses any queries, you will need to
import copies of them as well. If it likes to tables in another database
you don't already have linked, you will need to link them as well.
