Sub Report creates new page

I have a sub report that creates a new page even though it does not take up
enough of the first page to require a second. On the first page I only have
the header information and then blank space. The sub report always begins
on a new page.

I tried making the sub report about a 1/4 inch and set the "can grow" to no
and it still creates a new page.

Thanks in advance.
 
More importantly, did you set the can shrink to yes?

Check the following properties of the section that the sub report is in:

ForceNewPage (set to none)
Keep Togehter (set to no)
