I tried StyleXP and gave it up for a simple and free patch that allows you
to use hundreds of free themes safely and without the overhead of StyleXP --
and without downloading the extraneous spyware forced on you by StyleXP's

My preference for bootscreens is Bootskin, also free and safe, available

I believe there are some precautions on StyleXP's site regarding changing
bootscreens. You may want to consider restoring your system to a point
prior to the bootscreen change, uninstall StyleXP and going with the free
options. ...sorry if you've already paid for StyleXP.
