Greetings. My System Idle Process refuses to go below 99
CPU cycles. AARGH! SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO KIIIIILLLLL IT!
Drat. Anyway. It's really messing up my system... This is
NOT funny... aarghness.

Actually, it is funny in a way :-) System Idle Process is just a place
holder to show you how much of your CPU time is not being used. Running at
99%, no matter what you're doing is pretty darned good! Wish my machine
would do that.

It is...it's bloody hilarious!! I can't stop laughing!! May I suggest you
avail yourself of a dictionary (you do know what a dictionary is, don't
you?) and look up the word 'idle'. When you've done that, you might like to
look up the word 'idiot' too...you may just find a picture of someone you
recognise there...

I just wanted to add that, if you think that system *IDLE* is "messing up
your system" then I'd seriously question whether you're intelligent enough
to own a computer...

Play nice Cassie!

Sorry, Larry, but the guy's a moron. Ranting and raving for no reason
whatsoever! If he doesn't understand the meaning of the word 'idle' then his
intelligence must surely be called into question...

You mean use.

But, then again, it is 99% idle - so, perhaps .....

People who know a less bit about Windows XP come here to share their
problems and in return expect some sort of help or advice. I strongly
condemn the mockery done by you. Please try to refrain from such
actions the next time you are not able to help someone.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with computer knowledge. Does the word
'idle' in this context not mean exactly the same as it does in everyday
English?! Even my technophobic mother knows what system idle means, just
because of the word 'idle'. A word doesn't change its meaning just because
it's applied to something technological (OK, some do, but not this one). And
I did help him - I told him to avail himself of a dictionary (assuming he
knows what one is...)

No, I mean 'own'. He shouldn't have one in the house, in case he *IS*
tempted to use it!

To Perdita and Doug.

Thanks Doug, no thanks Perdita.

I am very much aware of what a dictionary is. And I very
rarely need to use it. I am also aware of the definition
of "idle". However, I thought it meant "what the system
does when it is idle", not "how much of the CPU is idle".
Thank you.

Just because you speak English as your first language, doesn't mean it's
everyone else's.

Careful what you say, someone might report you to *your* ISP, and possible
the police.
BWHAHAHAHA! You crack me up.

Don't feel singled out by PXN, she does it to everybody.
She's lonely.

I wonder why.
