Hi All,

I have a image that I created with the Target Designer using the eval copy
of the XP embedded software. I have since purchsed the retail version of
the software. Am I going to have to rebuild this image from scratch or is
therea way to make it work with the retail version of the software?

Thanks!

Nick

You will need to uninstall the eval version of XPe Studio completely making
sure to remove eval database. The retail tools won't work with the eval
database.
Then you just need to install retail version of the software and you may use
the SLX project file. The runtime image will still be eval, though, until a
runtime PID is set in the Settings for your configuration.

Are you asking about PID numbers?
In order to get a runtime PID you must purchase the individual runtime
licensing from the distributor that you've bought the retail tools from. He
should provide you with a sticker(s) with the PID number(s) on it. Enter
that into TD and rebuild (Runtime Licensing Settings for your
configuration).

PIDs have been discussed million times in this newsgroup so please do a
google search in the newsgroup archive.
Here is a good thread about it:
