stupid question but wanted to ask--installign windows xp

i know htis is a stupid question but i was wanting to know
if it was possible to install windows xop on two computers
without having to buy a copy of windows xp for each
computer.
 
You would only be able to activate it one machine. If you tried activating
on the second machine after activating on the first, activation would be
refused. After 30 days of non-activation, XP would cease to function and
you'd be locked out of the system.

No. The End User License Agreement that you agree to when you install the
product explicitly states that you may only one licensed copy on one PC.
Read it at Start ... Winver and click the link to view it.

This is not any differnet from all of the other versions of Windows right
back to Windows 3.
You have only ever been licensed to install one licensed copy of Windows to
one PC.
You may wish to look at your other PCs (if you have more then one) and
ensure you are in compliance with the licensing agreements.

Yes you can install XP on as many computers as you want, there is nothing to
stop you from doing that. Of course only 1 will activate and keep working
beyond the 30 day period.
 
What business are you in? Do you sell secure products
for public use? Will you sell one item and let people
use it on two other products?
