Stupid Apples!! / Question about webcam on Apple

Hello!!

I'm trying to get my webcam (which works perfectly on my PC) to work on the girlfriends apple. I've downloaded Macam which is a generic driver, and it found my webcam and the light comes on etc. But no picture.

I've downloaded Skype and it says the cam is working and ready to use, but no picture.

Any Mac experts on here that can suggest anything?
