stuff i dont understand

I hope someone can help me. I have XP Home Edition. I
think i deleted some important files while i ran scan
disc and after i defragged my hard drive. im not exactly
sure. Anyways, first everytime i restart my computer
my "system32" file comes up. Second, somehow all my
games just deleted themselves and are nowhere to be
found. Third, in the start menu, it tells me that there
are new programs installed. but its the programs that
have been on the computer for a long time they are not
new ones. Is it possible to reinstall windows to get my
games and any deleted files back?

If you had deleted some files and cleared the Recycle Bin, there is little hope for recovery

I would suggest you to backup your important data files and boot from the XP CD to perform a repair install (not clean install) of XP.
After the repair installation of XP is completed, you need to reinstall SP1a and all the patches from windows update site

After all, reinstall the games using the original game CDs

all the games where like soliatre, pinball, hearts, the
