You know what this discovery means? If they can figure out how to turn them on, we'd be regrowing limbs and organs :bow:

It would be fantastic if one day we are able to unlock some of these possibilities, especially for regeneration of nerves etc... I imagine things like this will be possible one day. Just imagine telling someone from the 1800's that people would walk on the moon in the next century.

I don't think I'd like to be a guinea pig for this technology though ;).

I'll put myself forward for that.

I suffer with my fingers & toes being numb from nerve damage. Is not a nice sensation especially as the fingers in my right hand seem to be constantly on fire.

It also suggests that if every part of the body could be regenerated then, maybe, we could all live forever. What a terrible thought. The Earth couldn't cope. ;)
