Hi all!
I just put together an new system with:
A8V-dlx
Athlon64 3000+ Boxed set w/ standard HSF
1G Twinmos PC3200 matched pair of 512s
WD 200GSATA
Everything is running great, except MBM5 (and speedfan4.18) reports my
CPU to be running at 125C.
I assume this must be wrong, since I can't believe it would run rock
solid at that temp.
The meter also won't change whether I turn SETI@home on or off, wich
affects all my other 'puters quite a bit.
I think this probe is in the CPU, rather than on the MoBo, right?
Is it worth bothering to fix, (RMA the chip, or could there be away to
fix it) as long as I don't test it's overclocking capabilities? (I'd
really like to keep it online)
I intend to replace it with a faster chip in a few paychecks time, when
I've saved up some, anyway.
