File view set to reveal all, but no sign of 48mb that is
in the Recycle bin Properties. The icon shows full as
well. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

The recycle bin icon shows full, but when opened no sign
of any files(view set to show all). Try and empty then
dialog box with warning about not being able to delete
Dc459.tmp,Dc...tmp, and so on. Searched and no such files
appeared.

Hi magoo,

Here's how you can reset the bin:
1.Right-click the bin and choose Properties
2.Select "Do not move files...." and OK your choice
3.Open My Computer and double-click the root directory (C:\)
4.Locate Recycler folder. Right-click and select Delete
5.Go back to step 1. above and remove the checkmark. OK your choice.

Note:
You must unhide files and folders to view Recycler
There is a Recycler folder for each drive (if you have more than one) and
each Recycle folder contains a recycle bin for each user.

Did the resizing for space to "0",rebooted,no change
(tried safe mode to)."cannot delete file Dc459.tmp(few of
these),Dc880.pf(lots of these), make sure...." Dialog box
appears when emptying the recycle bin. These files (158
files,12 folders) take up 48mb. When choosing to change
attributes the same dialog box. Thanx for the reply, Eddy.

Files may be corrupt. Run Error Checking (chkdsk), then try to empty the
Recycle bin.
Dc880.pf, Deleted from C:, pf = Encrypted file (Alladin Systems)
Dc459.tmp, Deleted from C:, tmp = temporary file
Include some of the post you're replying to. Makes it easier for others to
read. Like a paperback novel with fifty pages torn out of the middle.
