I have Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP 2.0, Ijust switched my ISP to
AOL, ever since then I can not use IE.When I try to go to a website in the
middle is blank (where the website should be) and the bottom it switches back
and forth from saying "Finding site:localhost" or "Finding Site:127.0.0.01".
AOL says there something wrong with IE. How can I fix it?
Thanks,
Mr.B

Check C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc for a file named HOSTS with no
extension. (Not Hosts.sam)
Make sure Windows is set to show hidden files and folders and is NOT set to
hide extensions for known file types.
If HOSTS exists, rename it to HOSTS.OLD
Reboot an try again.

Or, In a Cmd window, enter
ipconfig /flushdns
then clear your TIF also, and re-boot.

This would happen if u have accelarator installed. 127.0.0.1 is nothing
but a loop back address, clear cache by going to tools>internet
option>delete cookies and delete files in internet explorer and disable
accelerator or reinstall aol software.let me know if this resolves your
problem
