Hi boneux,
and ask them to either setup a "DMZ"
(De-Militarized Zone which means the firewall is disabled) to bypass the
built-in firewall, or open the necessary ports in the equipment with you
that are required to play online:

| Good day Jimmy S,
| I have the following modem installed:
| model : Smartlink 56k modem
| maker : Smart Link (
www.smlink.com)
|
| but i am not connected to the internet through my modem instead I am
| connected through my LAN card (make and model shown below)... I also have
| confirmed that I am connected to a router from my service provider's base
| station and they are having technical problems and I am getting bandwidth
| speed of 29.10 kbps. further more I have NAT... I have already spoken to
| their tech support and ask them to check if I am behind a firewall from their
| end. what more should I do?
|
| thanks,
| boneux

|||||| Hi boneux,
||||||
|||||| Sounds like there's a firewall in your Router or Broadband Modem:
||||||
|||||| Call the tech support for that unit, and ask them to either setup a "DMZ"
|||||| (De-Militarized Zone which means the firewall is disabled) to bypass the
|||||| built-in firewall, or open the necessary ports in the equipment with you.
||||||
|||||| Here's the List of all Ports used by Zone
