Stretching slide to full 15.4" Widescreen view

Does anyone know how to enable Powerpoint to stretch the Full Legnth of the screen, rather than having two solid black lines either side of the normal 15" screen size format. I assume many people are beginning to use 15.4" widescreen notebooks.

You can change the slide dimensions through "File" | "Page Setup..." menu
item. Set up the dimensions to match the width-to-height ratio of the
widescreen monitor.

Recent versions of PowerPoint will always fill the screen of the computer they're shown
on as much as possible *without changing the proportions of the slide*.

If it stretched the slide to fill the available space, it'd distort all the text and
graphics. People in pictures would all gain 40 pounds. You'd be set upon by mobs of
unhappy Atkinsonians. Not a pretty picture.

If you need the presentation to fill a wide screen display, you'll need to set it up
accordingly (choose File, Page Setup and enter a width/height combination that's
proportional to the display you'll be using).

There's no way to get a single PPT presentation file to fill screen on multiple displays
of different proportions, though.
