So I have some AVI files I'd like to add to my web page.

What is the best way to add streaming video to a web site??
or what do I need to look out for when doing that???

What is the best bang for the buck as far as the file sizes etc.

Thanks, and sorry if these seem like simple questions cause I know little
about video

AVIs can't really be streamed. You'll need to use MS Windows Media, or Real
Audio/Video (www.real.com) in order to have streamed content. It's not the
sophisticated streaming that you may want, since that technically requires a
streaming media server, but it will let you create files that can be shown
as they download but not fast-forwarded well etc. Both MS and Real Networks
offer free tools to create streaming media files in their respective
formats. You can then either link to them, or embed them in your page. MS
has an add-in for FP to add Windows Media files into a web page at the FP
web site.

Hope this helps,
