Streaming Audio takeover

I like to listen to several streaming audio locations. Most of these offer
a choice for a "regular" mp3 stream or a Windows Media stream.

I prefer using Winamp when listening to streams, but the OS is now forcing
the "regular" mp3 streams to be played in the Windows Media Player.

How can I return the default player preference to Winamp?
 
Goto Winamp's opitions and make all file types the default. then goto WMP
and disable all the the file types from being the defalut.
