FrontPage 2003, nor any web creation tool itself can stream audio. That is
actually a combination of the file format chosen and the server itself. To
begin streaming audio, you need to choose a format that is designed to be
streamed, such as Windows Media or RealAudio. Both companies make free tools
available to convert audio and video into the appropriate format. Once you
convert a file into the format(s) you want, all you really need to do is
link to the file and the appropriate player will launch on the user's
computer. This doesn't get you a fully streamed audio solution though. What
you'll be able to do with a streaming audio format by default is get it to
play as it's downloaded and while it is continuing to download. Forward and
backward functions don't really work well unless you use a dedicated
streaming media server, which is usually an expensive add-on to some hosting
packages. Basically though, for most users you won't have a problem simply
creating an audio file in a streaming media format, importing it into your
FP web, linking to it, and having users play it like a streaming audio file.
Hope this helps,
