strange things happening with XP Pro

My computer has become a master at locking itself up and
shuttint down on it's own. Below is one of the many error
messages I've gotten in the last two weeks. After getting
this message, the system did a physical memory dump.

The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during
its internal processing. HRESULT was 8007043C from line
44 of d:\nt\com\com1x\src\events\tier1
\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact Microsoft Product
Support Services to report this error.

When I go to help and support there is no additional
information about this. Any help would be appreciated.
I've already reloaded Win XP pro once and the problem
hasn't gone away.

Sounds like a hardware problem, possibly bad memory. Try the 30 day
evaluation of BurnInTestPro 3.2 from:
