Everyplace there is an advertisement on a page, it never loads. I get a
little red x or the Big I that says action cancelled. As a result, everytime
I try the back button to the previous page, I have to hit it two or three
times because it seems like it is trying to refresh the advertisement.
Running IE 6.0. I've tried all the diagnostic tools I have and read the
boards til I'm bleary-eyed. Any ideas? suggestions?

Spy Sweeper is what was causing the problem--but it wasn't the HOSTS file, I
disabled the 'common ad sites shiel' and things are back to normal. THANX
for pointing me in the right direction.

Hi,
A HOSTS file might be blocking these ads/images.
See: The Hosts File (Gorilla Design Studio): http://www.accs-net.com/hosts/
Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts File:

Is Spy Sweeper using your HOSTS file? Disable that feature>

Do you have another privacy/security/ad-blocker program running?
