Strange security Settings

I have set up a small simple database using access 2003. Having worked thru
all the little bugs an feeling it was ready for "prime time" I compiled it
and put in a shared folder on our company Lan. The problem is that when one
of the users computer opens the database all is fine untill the program is
closed, once this occurs its takes a log-out/ log-in to re open the database
for subsequent entries or use. This seems especialy strange in that this is
the only pc of several exhibiting this condition. The pc's are an assortment
of various flavors of windows and versions of access, the specific pc is
running XP with A2003.
Is there a way to re-set the security of my database to zero and start over
and does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this behaviour //

Thanx in advance for any insights or advice.

It may be that, when the user exits the database, the locking file (.ldb) is
not being deleted. Check the folder that the database is in and see if the
..ldb file is deleted when the user exits Access. Make sure no one else is in
the database when you do this. If the lock file is still there, then you may
need to check to see if the user in question has delete permissions on the
folder that the database is in.

it does appear tho that when exiting the application that the
"lock file" is no being deleted properly or going away as it normally does
when accessed by other computers.

Then I would suspect that is your problem. Are these users exiting Access in
some unusual way (Ctrl + Alt + Delete, for instance)?
