Can someone please throw some light on this problem.
I use Windows XP Home Edition with only one Administrator account and one
guest account.
My computer had to start with, two dailup networking accounts configured for
all users. Both of these use the same logon password for ease in remembering
them. Recently, I went in for the third ISP and gave it a new logon password
and made available only for me.
Now a strange thing has happened. All the three accounts have a password
that is a string of characters that seem to be a combining of the password
of the first two accounts and the password of the new account. I say this
because by deleting the unwanted characters in the password using the
backspace key and I am able to logon on to the respective internet account.
Now I tried to delete the password and entered it again thinking that will
solve the problem. The maually entered password works only for that session
and when I start the computer the next time the old combined password is
back. Also the option of making these accounts available for all users
somehow reverts to make this available only for me. I tried to delete these
conections and configuring them again to no avail. The same combined
password is back. I find also that the logon to the network which was
usually fast now takes a long time.
Is there some way I can resolve this problem?
