Whew!...never saw anything like this. I fdisked the C: drive but stored all
my other stuff on D: and just left it alone. Installed XP Pro and when it's
all done I end up with a C: drive with Windows and an F: drive with
everything from D: Huh?..What the heck happened hard drive D:? CD drives
are now E: and D:
Is there anyway to fix this?
Any help would be appreciated.

You can change the drive letters on any of the devices except C by right
clicking My Computer and left clicking on Manage. Then under Storage click
on Disk Management, now you can select the device and change the letter.

Yes, use XP's Disk Management to change the drive letters of your CD
drives and your secondary HD. You will be unable to change the drive
letter of the drive XP is installed on.

Follow this:
0) Leave C: alone. (HD 0)
1) Change F: to H: (HD 1) (releasing drive letter F: for use again)
2) Change D: and E: to F: and G:, respectively (CD 0, CD 1) (releasing
drive letters D: and E: for use again)
3) Change H: to D: (HD 1)
4) Change F: to E: (CD 0)
5) Change G: to F: (CD 1)

If you do this, you will end up with
C: (HD 0) (your system drive)
D: (HD 1) (your secondary HD)
E: (CD 0) (your CD's)
F: (CD 1) ( " " )

Oh shucks...got it wrong. Windows XP Pro is on the F: drive and everything
else ended up on the C: drive. Thanks for the very good advice...was eager
to try an' correct this. Now I got...ummm...not sure what to do. Can't
change F: since Windows is on it and got everything else on C: Hmmm....
Any ideas or advice? What should I do now?
Have probably done this a hundred times and know about partitions and fdisk,
etc...but never saw anything like this. Don't know why it did this...it was
all pretty much straight forward. The drives were all properly
configured...but this...is something different.
Thanks for the help.
