Strange ntrootkit.exe

When I boot up my laptop, XP starts and before log in, an
error message appears and said cannot write to
memory...The debug shows a program ntrootkit.exe is not
responding. Anyone knows what program is that?

Since this error last night, I can connect to my ISP,
receive mail, but IE is not working. All the web site I
tried to access return the page saying DNS not found. Can
anyone help?
