Hi Everyone

I am connecting to my university network through a standard ethernet.
However, Iv recently noticed a strange connection in "internet
Connections", that I have not set up.

Its listed as an "Internet Gateway" and is called "1394 connection on
JAMIE". Any ideas?

Cheers guys.

Hi,

1394 is your firewire port on your PC.
This is normal and can be safely ignored.

Kind Regards,

Tim

This is more than that. It appears you have used ICS to share out your 1394
port on the machine named JAMIE. Does JAMIE belong to you?

JAMIE doesnt belong to me, though I dont know if there is a machine on
the university network with that name.

OK, it means someone on your university network has a misconfigured machine.
You can ignore it or uncheck "Internet Gateway Discovery and Control Client"
in optional components.
