On a new Presario Desktop, using XP Home, every time I send something to my Brother HL-1440 laser printer a box pops up saying, "There is not enough space on your pc. Make room on the HD by deleting some files." There is only one button to press, "OK". The box does not have any other words or icons on it, such as Microsoft, etc. What ever I send to the printer prints fine. I have deleted cookies, temp files, history, trash bin, etc. but I still get this message. I have a 40 GB HD with about 30 GBs free. I even went to Microsoft and downloaded the latest printer driver and install it, all to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

If it is a brand new computer, you may need to increase
the size of your virtual memory. To do this you need to
go to START/CONTROL PANEL/SYSTEM/click the ADVANCED
tab/under performance click SETTINGS/ then click ADVANCED
tab. There you will see virtual memory, and it shows a
size. Click change and change it to a large number. My
computer used to do that as well, but then I changed my
virtual memory to 1024MB and havent had a problem since

hope this helps

maybe that the brother driver is confused because you have SO MUCH drive space - some of the old drivers cant do very well if greater than 1 gb or 10 gb or some magic number for them.. Check brother for details maybe.
