I just acquired a new Compaq desktop with Windows XP. I hooked up my Brother HL-1440 laser printer and every time I send something to the printer I get a strange message:
THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SPACE ON YOUR PC. MAKE ROOM ON THE HD BY DELETING SOME FILES. Then there is only an OK button to press. After I press OK the printer prints fine. I have a very large HD with plenty of space. Why do I get this message? What can I do to get rid of it?

I'm beginning to suspect that this is a flaw with the current printer
drivers for that printer. Recently, similar reports of this problem are
appearing in these newsgroups on a frequent basis. Check for new drivers
and install if available.

In addition to the printer driver thing-
This message can sometimes happens (in Win 2000) when your filename/path is too long when saving files. If you shorten the name and or path to reduce the number of characters, the problem goes away.

Good old Microsoft...
