Hi:

My roommie did something kinda stupid:

He was having a seeming problem with his wireless keyboard
and somehow incorrectly intuited that he should disable
the driver for it...

So now, no keyboard function...

I have tried to boot his box in safe mode (and a couple of
other modes) with the result of the mouse not working...

since the keyboard doesn't work, we can't bypass the
password prompt in order to enable the keyboard
driver...with the mouse.

In setup mode, I have tried to have it boot from W2K disk
in order to repair/install but it won't save the command
to do so...

Additionally, his floppy drive is out of order so I can't
exactly make a boot disk to use....

So, I can't exactly figure out a workaround regarding this
issue...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you and best regards....

Thanks Pavel:

He tried that with mine: I don't know if it matters but
he hooked it up then rebooted - to no effect. Ya think
maybe connecting *after* booting would work?

Your kbdclass.sys, which controls keyboards in win2k got
dis-abled. You must re-enable it again. You have to boot
on your win2k cd, the on the first menu screen, choose
repair. Enable the kbdclass.sys from there. This should
fix your problem.

Goodluck.
