It's a glitch from a recent WindowsUpdate, it's actually a copy of your
address book. MS is aware of the problem, but no fix has come out yet. You
can safely delete the file (which will appear each time you open your
address book).
I have been getting the same file and icon on my desktop.
I have run Norton (latest update) on it and it is virus
free. I sent it to my IT computer expert at work who
could not identify it but found he could open it with
Notepad. It appears to be a garbled list of all my email
contacts.
Not a good thing to be floating around unidentified!
I sure would appreciate help in finding out where this
comes from.
It is a bug in a fairly recent update for OE, MS is aware of it and I
understand working on a fix.
It is a temporary file of your address book, change the extension to .wab
and you will see. On some systems, it creates this temporary file when you
make changes in your address book. You can safely delete it from you
desktop, or just leave it there as it does no harm, more of an annoyance
than anything.
