I have an HP 920C that is doing very weird things with any new
cartridge. I'm about to junk the printer, but I'll be stuck with about
$90 worth of new cartridges. I've changed the black ink cartridge many
times before. This time when I changed it, the orange ink light kept
blinking. I returned the cartridge and tried another. Same thing. I
called the HP Support guys who were nice enough to try to help me even
though it's out of warranty. They said try another new cartridge, that
both were defective. I tried another and the same blinking light and no
print. BTW, what is even weirder is that when I put the old cartridge
back in, the light stops blinking and it prints (though faintly, because
that cartridge is out of ink). I called HP Support again. He walked me
through all of his fixes and nothing works. I've now tried everything
with 3 new cartridges and it just keeps blinking. But when I try the
old cartridge, the light goes out. There must be someone out there who
knows why this is happening. Anybody up to the challenge? And what am
I going to replace this printer with? Another HP?
