New computer with XP and I noticed some folders (in blue type) such as
"$NtUninstallKB823182$" and when I look into the folder I see a folder
"spuninst" and a file "cryptui.dll" and with the folder "spuninst" I see
3 files "spuninst.bat, spuninst.exe and spuninst.inf".
I have no idea what they are, if I can just delete them, do I need to
run the exe or how to handle them. Any suggestion for a new user of XP
will be greatly appreciated.

I believe those are part of your pre-installed windows critical updates
(SP1) and should be left alone. Someone else here should confirm this

Yes, those are files that should be hidden. Don't mess with them
