Recently upgraded from W98SE

running Nero 5.5 on windows xp.home.
I am new to all this so please bare with me.
Puzzle: when I open a folder in the Nero file browser to burn some music
from mp3's there seems to be files more files than the original folder,
(i.e.) original folder 16 mp3 audio files.
Nero file browser folder 16 mp3 files plus 1 Folder JPEG, 7 Album Art JPEG
Image, 1
Thumbs.db Data Base File and something that says, desktop.ini Configuration
Settings.

I have tried changing settings in Tools>Folder Options>View but nothing
changes.

Please help while I still have some hair to pull out.
Regards oxy

The folder that holds your 16 mp3 files is customized as a music folder.
Sounds like you've picked out some album art too. Those extra files
(above and beyond the mp3 files) are used to present a customized view
of your Music folder in XP.

Nero doesn't care about customized folders and special views. Instead of
the fancy view you get with Windows Explorer, you just see more files.

In other words, you are seeing two different displays of the same exact
folder contents. Nero lists the extra contents. Windows XP uses them to
create the special display of a "music folder."

Thank you , I 'm not going daft after all
