Hello, I hope I'm writing to the proper group.
I have a prob, after reinstalling win2k, at some point there appeared
files on each of the partition. The files can not be deleted or altered
in any way. Their names are lik: '0C95CE00-9232A7E2',
'C67A3600-9232A7E2', '805E9E00-9232A7E2_Backup' and so on.
Please help me and tell me how to remove the anoying files.

I suppose they were created by some program I installed, I can't however
uninstall all programs to check which program causes the files appear.

You can look at the creation time and date stamp for those files.
And then seach for (other) files with a similar stamp.
This might give you a clue as to which program is responsible.

As to how to delete them: probably the fastest way is to boot
from either BartPE or Knoppix. That assures that those files will
not be in use.

Those are *System Files* and should be left untouched. In My Computer,
click Tools-Folder Options - View and uncheck the box that says "Show
hidden files and folders". That way you won't see them and then they
won't bother you. That's the way it was meant to work. :)

They are user interface files(used to keep track of each users interface).
they are completly normal, and should be left alone.
