I do have one active directory server with active directory dns
integrated.
The server ip is 192.168.40.1
In addition I use Intel Load Balancing for my Nic cards.

When I do: nslookup saintferdinand.org I got this

C:\>nslookup saintferdinand.org
Server: localhost
Address: 127.0.0.1

Name: saintferdinand.org
Address: 192.168.40.1

But when I ping saintferdinang.org

C:\>ping saintferdinand.org

Pinging saintferdinand.org [192.168.40.2] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 192.168.40.2: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Reply from 192.168.40.2: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Reply from 192.168.40.2: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Reply from 192.168.40.2: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128

it is pinging different server (Our print server)

HOW COME ???

All I can tell is that this server (print server) used to be secondary
for active directory. Now there is no AD on it.

And whats is funny when I ping saintferdinand.org on the print server
it pings
the 192.168.40.1. This is so strange.

Any Ideas???

Bart,

Check to see if you have an old A (or Host record as its called) Record
setup in the AD/DC DNS which is pointing to the print server instead of the
local box. You may also want to check the DNS on the AD/DC to make sure it
has a correct A Record for the print servers address.
