Strange Desktop Background Split

Some wierdness is going on now that I've changed my desktop backgrond. I came upon a view I wanted to change to from and online site for nature conservation, and I right clicked it and tried to save it as my desktop picture. Lo and behold it only takes part of the green background in a space of about 1/5th of my screen. When I couldn't get the rest of the image up, I went into the desktop properties and tried to use one of the desktop images that comes with Windows XP. I STILL get the same block on top of the new image. It happens every time I put in a new desktop image.

How the heck do I get rid of the oddball colored square? It sticks out like a sore thumb over the tulips I have up. I've tried everything I can think of and checked help files on computer, but nothing works. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Right click the Desktop, select Properties, Desktop, Customize Desktop, Web tab. Uncheck any web content that's enabled.

Doug,
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I thought I had been all over those tabs, but obviously not the web tab! I don't know how that happened, but I must have hit a wrong button. It must have been just a green piece of the grizzly bear background I somehow picked up at the NSW site. It's so good to have it looking decent again. It also made the file names revert back to being transparent rather than this ugly white background under the file name. I am SO happy! :D

Thanks again!
