Hello

For some time now when I create a new task I often get the following date
suggestion:

Saturday Jan 1, 4501

Time for reminder - 00:32

It is always the same date and time.

Where could this be coming from?

That is a "NULL" date. I don't know why outlook is using it by my first
step would be Detect and Repair (OL2003) or Office diagnostics (2007).

Hello again

Thank you for your suggestion.

The Detect and Repair solved it for 36 hours ...unfortunately, the problem
has just showed up again.

Any other ideas?

Thank you!

Ok. That means it’s a POP/IMAP account and the message store is a PST, so we
can't blame the server for the goofiness.

How many times did you reboot in the 36 hrs it worked correctly? ie, did
the reboot undo the repair or did it just suddenly change behavior.

I turned the PC off 2 evenings in a row after the Detect and Repair. The
following morning, it suddenly changed behaviour.

The crazy thing is, a friend of mine has the same problem. We both use CA
Antispam. Perhaps the cause is there?

Thank you.

it very well could be the antispam - if not that, then some other addin or
application unique to your systems. Disable it and see if it helps.

Did you try running outlook in safe mode? That starts outlook without any
addins.
